CNT Cold Cathode X-ray Tube

CNT Cold Cathode X-ray Tube

Limitations
Limitations of hot cathode X-ray tubes

Conventional hot cathode X-ray tubes generate X-rays by heating a tungsten filament to around 2000°C. However, their slow response time can result in unnecessary radiation exposure, and their high power consumption further limits their use in portable/mobile and fluoroscopic X-ray imaging systems.

Features
Features of carbon nanotube-based cold cathode X-ray tubes

The new type of cold cathode X-ray tubes, which generate X-rays by applying voltage to carbon nanotubes, offer reduced unnecessary exposure, low operating energy, and precise dose control. In particular, the LuminaX cold cathode X-ray tubes, based on a carbon nanotube thin film, deliver high-dose X-ray emission while maintaining stability under high voltages.

Applications
Applications of LuminaX cold cathode X-ray tubes

The LuminaX cold cathode X-ray tubes are well-suited for use in portable and mobile diagnostic X-ray devices, diagnostic fluoroscopy systems, dental and medical CBCT equipment, security screening systems, and nondestructive testing (NDT) applications.
